Welcome to our beautiful little Shepherd's hut, Porter's Rest.  Our cosy and unique accommodation is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.  The hut sits in its own secluded little woodland area in peaceful countryside. It has been designed to be a cosy and romantic retreat for two, but it is also suitable for solo travellers.

The hut has a double bed, thick duvet, pillows and the cutest little wood burning stove to keep you toasty warm.  The kitchen area includes a 2-ring electric hob, sink, kettle, fridge and toaster. The kitchen cupboards are full of all the essentials needed for your stay, plus tea, coffee, sugar and milk so you can enjoy a nice cup of tea without lighting the fire pit!  A wee sofa and retro record player with a variety of albums complete the interior. There is space to hang clothes and cupboards to store bags etc.

Outside you will find a large wooden deck, rattan corner sofa and magical outdoor bath with hot and cold running water. There are no toilet facilities inside the shepherd's hut but there is a shower and toilet situated in our little toilet block which is a 30 second walk away for use during your stay.

In your own private little garden area there is a large fire pit; perfect if you like cooking outdoors or if you just want to have a fire and toast some marshmallows under the stars.

The hut is located in the grounds of our former railway station, Creagan Station which was the only island platform on the Oban to Callander branch line.
